She might be president, but she won't be able to join a sorority...

She's more than qualified but does she really want to fund raise?

Do you really think The Machine will allow a black woman to run UA

If they want what's best for the University they would beg Condi Rice to run it.

They wouldn't have a choice. No more than they had a choice on a liberal in Robert Whit or the first woman in Judy Bonner. I've seen Rice's name thrown around for this position before. I doubt this comes to fruition, but I would love it if she did.

I highly doubt Rice, who was provost of Stanford, NSA, Secretary of State and wants to be commissioner of the NFL, is going to give a serious look to the UA presidency.

Ole Miss - Bama rivalry just got turned up.

I would give more credence to her being chancellor of the UA System. But Robert Witt is currently in that position. But she was born in Birmingham and lived in Tuscaloosa as a child.

I think it depends on whether her hometown loyalty or her need for higher placement in the world of academia and intellectual importance would win out.
Obviously this is just a proposal by someone in AL.com, and I think it's highly unlikely regardless, but people like that are usually hyper-competitive in my opinion. While a lot of us are like "well if I was the best NFL coach I'd go back to Alabama to rebuild/ensure dominance" but that type of thing doesn't happen all that often, hence the uniqueness of the Harbaugh scenarior. More often they want to play at the highest level, and if she wants academia, that's obviously not UA.

It would be unlikely she would stay on the playoff committee if she becomes the President at Alabama.
Why would it be so unlikely that she would leave the committee? You have plenty of ADs and others who have allegiances to other schools. Why would it be any different with her?
*I don't think she'll ever be President of UA. I'd rather her run for Governor or be a part of a national GOP ticket.

I guess we'll find out how much power PBJ actually has. She wouldn't put up with his BS.

She isn't going to be the President of UAB
I don't think Bear Jr and the Pres have ever had major differences.

It'd be a smart move. Condi is smart as hell and knows pretty much every powerful person on the planet.
