It's one thing if your coach has only been at the school for one year, Jimbo is in his sixth season at A&M though.

It isn't really a sad story.
The previous coach won a national championship and then collapsed.
The team, though shorthanded, still fought through the season, including a bowl game where a WR played QB and a CB rushed the passer.
Then a new coach came in and despite being picked to go 6-6, he won 10 games and the West.
There's several programs that can't say those types of things.
