Esspecially if Watkins doesn't play, which I don't think he will.

Auburn doesn't really have any definitive edge in any position like the other teams do (Heck, Vandy was like 4 or 5 on RB's with Stacy) so they got a low rating but they're solid all around. Not Bama/LSU solid but they don't have a glaring weakness like most of the other teams do. That, and ESPN is a piece of crap. Y'all certainly won't be 12 in the league next year, and Tennessee certainty won't be 6th. Just wait for the season guys

I think on their preseason top 25 they had Mo at #19 and that was it, if I remember right. I believe these hype rankings about as much as a pre-season AP poll.

I don't know how Auburn won any games last year the way analysts ranked us and its not much different this year.

Statistically, due to schedule, I would think.

As the season plays out, I think it will be DB that ultimately holds us back. The QBs are unproven. The DB ARE proven.

Thanks for putting that together.

I think most people can agree with the 1-5 teams in some order. Ranking 6-10 is where it gets interesting.

The difference between the fan bases right now, the sarcasm is through the roof will all Vol fans, especially on this board. We're a jaded bunch.

Auburn fans haven't accepted the fact that they're a sub par team right now. Cam Newton was the aberration.

Mind if i hear the rationale as to why Auburn will beat UGA?

I've been thinking UGA would win, but the more I look at UGA last year, the more I see that their success was a product of their weak schedule. They're a talented team, but Auburn figures to have a pretty strong O-Line with some good RBs. Plus, Blake is one of the best WRs in the SEC, and Lutz is one of the best TEs in the country.

Their D-Line is stacked (not as much as LSU though), and they return a lot of starters off of a team who just needed a better coaching staff, which they now have.

This is how I see it.

On his lists, there were usually a definite top 3-4 or so. Then from there to about 12 was pretty much a toss up.

The only thing guaranteed about a preseason list is that people on the internet will argue about it. They don't mean a thing until the games are played.

Fortunately for us, Chiz exceeds expectations... Of course part of that is that expectations seem to be set low after the losing season (Tubs) 2008.

Remember since Chiz joined the league, the NC has never left the state... 3 in a row...
