Scoring Defense:
LSU - 22.0 PPG
UF - 14.3 PPG
Passing Defense:
LSU - 191.8 YPG
UF - 197.2 YPG

Rushing Defense:
LSU - 99.6 YPG
UF - 99.2 YPG

3rd Down Defense:
LSU - 33.8 %
UF - 31.9 %

Sacks:
LSU - 12
UF - 21

Interceptions:
LSU - 6
UF - 7

Strength of Schedule:
LSU - 49
UF - 21

Looking a little deeper into the stats:

UF is 12th in rushing defense:(Rushing offense UT-21st,OM-50th, NMSU-83rd, ECU-95TH,UK-104th, and MIZ-112th).

LSU is 13th(AU-48,SCAR-70,EMU-74,Cuse-75,MSU-90,

Red zone defense UF is 53rd and LSU is 111th.

3rd down Conv. % UF is 31st and LSU is 42nd.

Passing Yards allowed: LSU -37th(MSU-28th,EMU-60th,SYR-106th, SCAR-108th,AU-113th)

UF 43rd(OM-11,ECU-22,UK-64th, NMSU-74,UT-81, MIZ-93)

UF's D is better in the RZ, 3rd down conversion and has played better passing teams and slightly better running teams. I'm honestly shocked LSU is so bad defensively in the RZ.

No doubt Floridas defense is better than ours. Ours does a decent job but the defense is young and lacks depth up front.

SO UT has the 21st rushing O and ran for 250+.

LSU is 3rd in the nation.

But what does this tell us about any matchups? The LSU and UF defenses don't go against each other. Can your defense stop our our rushing attack is the question?

I don't think you'll find many LSU fans argue with you that your defense is better than ours. however, despite the popular consensus that steele sucks, he has nothing to do with it. We're just average the second half due to no front 7 depth.

That's impossible. I will be ecstatic if they limit big runs/long touchdowns.

Have you gone complete rantard? You should probably start another thread good god. There is s reason LSU is favored by 7 and it ain't due to their passing game or entirely on home field. The gators have shown that the only time they faced a team with a good run game they got gashed. That's a fact. Time will tell.

Actually you will probably be better off with LSU having some quick strikes as opposed to 12 play drives hammering on your DL.

The DL isn't the one giving up long passing plays. Mills is missed. Teams throw more in second half due to being behind also.

Well both suck, but i will take long drives and hope for a FG. The thought of a young QB coming out in that stadium, playing from behind after multiple quick scores is not very appealing.
