Pretty much.

They're all good coaches/managers and they win consistently but can't get over the hump.

agreed, i see no reason how they could called similar. they both look like forman from house and that's it. even their MO is different. their demeanor doesn't seem linked either

I don't care for him either but I just lumped him into that category because he was in the same situation as Smith was and they both blew it.

You cant compare one of the best NFL coaches to someone who tried, failed and has now admitted that they werent made to coach with the big boys. Not that theres anything wrong with that. You play the hand your dealt in life and make the most of it. Lucky for yall I guess.
