I'm just glad he said no. I was worried for a while there. He would have killed it there. Now you have Mac, your tenth choice and we have back to back NY6s and another preseason top 15 start. Worked out for everyone.

I've been telling you this all along and you just want to keep arguing.

We didn't want him.
You did.

We both win.

It's perfect. Geez. You guys are so bitter that you just want to argue for argument's sake. It's silly.

Congrats. Glad we dodged the bullet. The NCAA is not exactly a friendly neighbor.

ETA: I'm not sure why it makes you sad that no one wants your coach. That's weird.

His record with players before he got to Florida and covering up for Hernandez at Florida stand out. Hernandez should've been gone after the first incident when he was 'minor.' Urban's players have always had serious incidents and he's a rep for making those incidents go away and/or making sure the players face no consequences. That wouldn't matter so much (kids make mistakes) but he does it for the kind of guys that wind up killing people and causing serious harm to others.

Interesting. Didn't know he had issues with players before Hernandez and Percy.

I know how it works. You only wanted and offered the tenth person you talked to. Kudos to you for holding the line so vigilantly.

Thanks. Though your lies are making me believe you don't mean it.

Yep. I'm just surprised things have been as smooth as they are at tOSU so far but they don't seem to be stuck in the same fishbowl level of media coverage SEC schools are in. Maybe he finally learned, I dunno.

Who was it that stole some dead students credit cards? Nothing but high Gator character.

"student's"

Glad Foley refused to interview another low character coach like Freeze. Bullet dodged.

You should be thankful nine coaches (and probably Gruden) turned you down. You stumbled backward right into a good one. And you're still in the east. Things worked out for you.

I know right. We are cheering the same damn thing. We avoided another low character coach and you kept one.

We should be buying rounds for each other. Instead, you continue to show a desire to argue.

Win win. It doesn't get better than that.

In fairness, until very recently Mississippi has enjoyed relative anonymity when it comes to the national press looking to dig up dirt on your school. Your local papers are protective rather than investigative. Neither Florida nor Tennessee can escape the press. If our players do something or hell if a single frat guy gets hospitalized for alcohol poisoning it's national news.

Even now the press is looking at NCAA shite not your every waking breath but at the traditional schools particularly those of us with a lot of media people in the area you can't fart without the world knowing it.

IOW, if Freeze did have a character problem. It would be a huge problem for school like Florida. Had Kiffin stayed instead of bailed it would've been a huge problem for Tennessee (he managed to get us sanctions and the New York Times covering the hostess program he was running in less than a year on campus).

If your players and students seem less trouble prone it's only because you have the luxury of not being in the fishbowl alongside the Big Six schools.

How very pretentious of you. I wouldn't call murder and stealing dead peoples credit cards "trouble prone". But yeah, maybe someone with good character IS a character issue at Florida. Tennessee too for that matter. You've been brushing up on deflecting shitty culture I see.

Although Foley never mentioned Freeze by name, it’s quite clear now why the Ole Miss coach was never a candidate to coach the Gators

Or it's because he was a women's high school basketball coach and UF is one of the top 5 coaching positions in the country.

Agreed. Petrino is a top 5 contender as well.
