The way they are leg dead by the time they leave Alabama this is no surprise. I am still mad the Saints extended a worthless Mark Ingram.

Hate it for him but that's what happens when you're the third pick in the draft and you don't perform up to expectations. Of the three RBs who were on that 2010 Alabama squad (Ingram/Richardson/Lacy), I thought Richardson would be the most likely to succeed out of all of them. He had the classic NFL RB build. His failure has more to do with his work ethic, I feel, than it does his lack of talent.

I agree. I think a lot of it had to do with the ridiculous O-line he was running behind that year though. He had the talent, but that o-line was very good.

I’d be surprised if he ever earns another big contract. He has what 4 kids? One of which is graduating from middle school. He’ll be broke in 3 years.

Move over Mandarich, JaMarcus Russell, Brian Bosworth, Akili Smith, Ryan Leaf....there is another one to join the all-time biggest bust crowd

He's busy celebrating Anthony Grant coming back next season. Must not be disturbed.

Richardson is on a tier all by himself. 2 first round picks were used on him by 2 different teams. That's a whole nother level of bust. I guess LSU just took it all out of him.

Yes, I made it but I know it looks like my 9 yr old did...

I am not skilled at such things but feel it needed to happen.

He will probably latch on to another team but he's going to have to prove that he's worthy of a roster spot for once in his life. Hope he saved a pretty penny somehow.

Is Vick Ballard still with the Colts even though he has been injured?

he was more successful than Russell, Leaf, and Smith.

Leaf played in 25 games in 4 seasons and had 14 TDs, 36 INTs, and 3666 yards passing.

Russell played in 31 games in 3 season and had 18 TDs, 23 INTs, and 4083 yards passing

Akili Smith played in 22 games in 4 seasons and had 5 TDs, 13 INTs, and 2212 yards passing.

Mandarich played for 7 years and had 47 starts.

I couldn't find accurate stats on Bosworth but he played 3 season, IIRC.

Trent Richardson has played in 42 games and rushed for 2032 yards, 3.3 avg, 17 TDs, and caught 113 passes for 913 yards and 2 TDs.

Looking at that, I think Ryan Leaf is still the undisputed GOATBust but Akili Smith was almost as bad, maybe worse, depending how you see it.

You can't hide the fact that the guy has not been able to intellectually grasp the NFL game because he has the physical tools.

I'm betting he will not latch on anywhere. No team had a worse RB situation than the Colts. If he can't contribute there, he can't contribute anywhere.
