I saw the following video in a SDS article on the worst SEC hires. What is the backstory on this? It's...unusual.

Sly Croom nowhere to be found. What a joke.

It's kind of amazing that the only college in America that will hire him to be the head coach of a team is of course Ole Miss.

I thought Colonel Reb was retired and they now have a Bi-curious Bear as a mascot?

Well to Orgeron's credit, he did develop Patrick Willis and recruited a ton of NFL talent to us. He left us in much better hands than Nutt did. He was a great recruiter and his players played their asses off for him. But he had no sense of Xs and Os or how to game plan. Our team would sometimes have full pads on practicing Fridays before games. You're not going to win a lot of games doing that.

You hired Dooley and Kiffin back to back and Jones is 5-11 during the weakest period ever of the SEC East. Ed was a disaster, but at least he provided a lot of comic relief. Tell 'em 'bout it Jo Jo.

Croom did make a bowl game and win eight games in 2007, HJJ. Despite his atrocious record outside of that one season, you can't take that away.
Both Croom and Orgeron had losing records in the Egg Bowl, for what it's worth.
The mid-2000s was an abysmal time for football in the Magnolia State, no doubt.

You've got to be that 5' nothing, 130 lb guy that threw the biggest hissy fit on youtube a couple of years ago after Mullen rammed all 10 inches in UT's rectum.

Haha no this guy was worse. I can't find the video now but it was after the 2012 game. We were up 3 with like 20 seconds left on the goal line and Mullen opted to go for instead of kicking the field goal. We scored to put the game out of reach and this guy had a big problem with it.
There were threads about it on here.

Yup.
Whether they want to realize it or not, tLandmass is 49-29 since 2012 and there's no damn reason why both teams shouldn't be looking at anything less than 8 wins in 2015 to boot.

Dooley and Kiffin both went to bowl games. :)
Don't get me wrong, they were horrible especially for Tennessee's high standards.
Ole Miss and Miss State would love to switch places with Tennessee. :(
