Admittedly, USC hasn't really played anyone of note thus far this season with the exception of Clemson, who was top-15 in most polls. And we're so deep in their heads these days it's almost shameful, like kicking puppies and punching babies.
But it was also good to win Gms 1 and 3 vs CU the way we did: had some substantial adversity and still prevailed. It will help steel some of the youngsters and inexperienced players for the oncoming SEC schedule. The rest of the non-conf. schedule looks to continue to be easy sailing...

I would put Vandy a spot or two higher but I think it's pretty obvious South Carolina is the best team as of today. Glad to see the Rebels get some respect after the 5-0 week. Also, good work Vols

FWIW Baseball America dropped four teams from the poll and all were from the SEC.

They have Virginia, Florida State and NC State at 1, 2 and 6 respectively. South Carolina, Vandy and LSU are 3, 8 and 9.
Clemson, Miami and UNC are 15, 16 and 21 after Clemson was swept, Miami lost a weekend series (and was 16 last week) and after watching UNC play CofC I don't think they're worthy of 21.
State is at No. 12, UK at 23 and we check in at 25. That poll is absolutely horse shite.
