College Gameday Week 2: Starkville or Knoxville?

Oklahoma vs. Tennessee
Or
LSU vs. Mississippi State
It'll probably end up in Knoxville. College Gameday likes those big OOC matchups. Those are the only two big matchups that week so it'll more than likely be one of the two destinations.

based on those 2 games, I don't see why they'd go to lsu/msu over ou/ut

Tennessee hasn't proved much of late. Starkville has the primetime slot, so that has to make you wonder.

They're both crapholes... so neither?

C) East Lansing for Oregon-Michigan State

Well Oklahoma @ Tennessee will probably be the night game on ABC.

Another solid matchup, I looked over it. How's Michigan State look this year?

I would say OU/UT and Oregon/Sparty are a coin flip. LSU/MSU are a distant second

No way. Oregon/Sparty are the heavy favorites at this point.

yeah, I'd put it:
Oregon/MSU
LSU/MSU
OU/UT
Oregon/MSU
LSU/MSU
OU/UT

They have a potential first round QB and I assume they'll have a good defense and running game

you are correct. However, MSU is supposed to be a bit down this year, and its' an every year matchup. OU/UT has the unique factor of it being an interesting matchup we dont' see much, and UT is being talked abotu as a team supposedly improved.
I just think that if the 2 games in the OP are the only 2 options, the more logical choice is ou/ut.

It would take Oregon losing to Eastern Washington or Michigan State losing to Western Michigan for Gameday not to be in East Lansing Week 2.
MSU at Auburn on September 26 has a shot if both teams are unbeaten. That's a pretty lax weekend across the nation. You have UCLA-Arizona, BYU-Michigan, and A&M-Arkansas - those are the only games that Saturday that could compete with an MSU-Auburn battle of unbeatens. State would have to beat LSU at home and Auburn would have to win in Baton Rouge and beat Louisville in the Georgia Dome to make that possible.

I think America would clearly rather see it in Knoxville celebrating two members of the 800 club.

Really doubt this even gets serious consideration.
