Auburn played Tenn, Fla State, Fla, Georgia, Bama, Miss Stat regularly before 1st expansion. Had to drop Smokey Vol and picked up LSU. Next expansion had to drop Fla and got Texas A&M.
For those who travel to away games Knoxville, Gainesville, Athens, Red Stick, Starkvegas have better accommodations and less costly than having to drive 10-12 hours or fly then stay in Conroe, Tx, Bastrop, Tx, Boonville, Mo. or 50 miles from Norman, Ok.

It's not even about the record between the two schools. I work with UGA/Tenn grads. My neighbor is a Florida fan. I've driven to those schools for games. Those gameday weeks with all of those people are a lot of fun when our two schools play and that's been taken away. It's just unfortunate. I don't work with or live near any A&M/Missouri/Oklahoma fans/grads, and I have to fly to those games if I want to attend. The whole "college football" experience just seems to be going away.

Once again those that historically cheated the most by paying players under the table are the most butthurt that paying players is legal now.

You can't blame us. Just to watch teams like the Razorbacks go flying up the ranks of college football is downright scary. I get goosebumps just thinking about it now.

If teams like Arkansas were going to spend the money, they would have done it years ago.
Why doesn't Arkansas have the best facilities in college football already?

Why is your HC only being paid half of what the top SEC Coaches make?
All the above things are things Arkansas could have already spent money on, but didn't. Because it's not about how much money you have, it's about how much you are willing to spend. And if your boosters weren't willing to spend it on things then, what makes you think they are going to do it now? They aren't.
So please tell me all the things Arkansas had to offer over the top programs that made it so they had to pay money under the table to prevent them from going to Arkansas.
Because from what I can see, Arkansas doesn't have shite to offer over top programs, and you're just a delusional loser who needs to make up excuses rather then deal with the reality that Arkansas is at best a mid level school who spends mid level money.
In the end, the same top programs will stay the same top programs. All that's going to happen is those programs will have more talent than before and teams like Arkansas will have less talent than before.

It takes a few years to build up nil for football. Takes more money than basketball
. Once it is your golden flake money wont be worth the stale chips they sell you people. Just to hammer it home they will be removed from walmart shelves and replaced with great value brands

Arkansas’ facilities are pretty damn nice. Florida is really the late comer to ‘nice facilities’. WTF were they doing?
Georgia will have the best facilities in the SEC for a while.

But I'm still guessing it's below the quality of top teams.
Typically the top3 for facilities are Georgia, A&M and Alabama as far as SEC teams go.
Arkansas ranks middle of the pack among SEC teams from what I've seen. Below LSU and Texas for sure. So that's 5 teams they are below just counting the SEC.
But it's pretty subjective, so hard to make definitive rankings. Still, I don't think many would consider Arkansas better than those 5 for sure.

Did that happen on this site? I must have missed it. The only thing I remember is the malazahn thing and how he worked it for a raise.
Why would that piss off an Arkansas fan?

The top 60 or so college football programs will break off in to a professional league. The remainder will stay in the NCAA. This is inevitable.
This is fine because it will finally bring parity to college football. The first 100 years was great for about 10 programs but the rest of us have had enough. The day of reckoning is here.

What I’ve noticed from young people is that they pull for the team they placed a bet on. Some don’t care at all about college sports.
