The SP+ model projects that Alabama will defeat Texas by an estimated score of.....34 to 21.

The computer gives the Crimson Tide a 77% chance to win the game outright.

Texas has a shot if their QB survives the first quarter

Not so fast, if he doesn't, then by the end of the night we might all be singing the "Ballad of Arch Who."

Ewers is overrated. Their only hope of winning is if he goes into that environment and plays at a high level so thats what people should be betting on. If Texas had a bonafide stud at QB I'd bet them but Ewers gets that type of credit even though he hasnt produced those types of results yet.

i know its only one game but from what i saw of game one our defense is playing differently. i think we are more aggressive, i think we tackle better in space, and we definitely are playing cleaner. if those things hold true against texas bama is going to win, thats all there is to it. during the golding years, while we did have some decent defenses performances, we were not reliable, and you sure could not depend on getting a stop if you needed one, ever. Im struggling to remember a game where we needed a stop and the d stepped up, was more like they played ok when it didnt matter.

offense is going to be punishing. milroe i think has improved enough as a passer to give everyone headaches, and hes a fantastic runner where if you give him a bit of space hes gone. also im loving the highlighted use of tight ends finally, been one of the biggest head scratchers why we never seemed to use them.

Steele is going to unleash that defensive talent on a scared Texas team.

He is overrated as hell. But Bama has a weird tendency to make shite quarterbacks look like Peyton Manning.

On top of everything else, when was the last time Texas played a true road game in front of 100,000 hostiles? Have they ever? I know no one on this team has. Road games in the SEC are different than the Big 12.

This is a heavy cover pick for Bama. Also, you'd be a clown to not take the under. 31-21 UA... The most dangerous animal is a raccoon backed in a corner. Thats what I'm getting from this Bama squad early in the season

Point taken but to Alabama fans, Texas is just another game.

Texas played in Fayettville in 2021 in front of 75,000 banjo enthusiasts who hate Texas with the intensity of a thousand suns.

I will second that, crowd noise does play a factor but once you're locked in crowd doesnt matter that much. Can UT deal with the emotions of on the road @BDS vs a team that is hungry is what will matter most off all...Besides, we have a wine and cheese crowd other than the student section. Comparing BDS to Fayetteville, the average BDS decibel level is 101 compared to 117 at Fayetteville. More people doesn't always equal louder.

Sark is one of the best offensive schemers in the game he will definitely stress our defense. We got to get to that quarterback ;-)

The same model had TCU over Colorado 41-15 so no better than you’re average “expert”.
