Well it's the final week of the regular season for college baseball. You'll see lots of great games as teams try to get into the postseason.
This weekend was a little shaky. South Carolina took 2 of 3 from A&M in College Station. The pitching flaws at A&M have been exposed. They are now on the bubble for a national seed needing a win this weekend against Ole Miss. The Gamecocks are trying to get an NCAA postseason berth as they host LSU.
Florida took 2 of 3 from Vandy this past weekend surprisingly in my opinion. Both teams are trying to win the east and possibly get a national seed.
LSU maintains 1st place overall in the SEC and in the SEC West.
It'll be a good finish to the college baseball season. Enjoy.

1. LSU 43-8

Vandy really took a tumble in your rankings... Didn't you have them in the CWS finals last week?

I don't care what their records are but two Big Ten teams don't deserve hosts. Hell, they shouldn't get one. The level of competition is pathetic. Every SEC team is better than every Big Ten team.

Illinois should get one. It's hard to argue not getting a host spot with only 6 losses on the year

Illinois has 24 straight wins right now. That's impressive at this level no matter the completion.

Yes I did and then they didn't look too good this weekend against Florida, mainly in the pitching department

Illinois deserves one for sure and I think Iowa has a pretty good team. They deserve a host spot as well

We as college baseball fans should support this too. If college baseball wants a seat at the table with football and basketball, it needs to continue getting top high school talent and to penetrate the Big 10 tv markets

Think Auburn still gets in after the disaster that was this weekend?

Their RPI is pretty good but losing to Bama this weekend was pretty embarrassing. I'd have them in though

I'm surprised it took this long for the losses of Minter and Stubblefield to really show.

I read your rankings all season. My suggestion for your posts next season is to make a Top25 and project the hosts. Instead of CWS picks before the field is set, highlight some teams that are on fire that a 1 seed wouldn't want in their regional. Then do a really good projection when the bracket comes out, and then super regional previews and picks.

I think AU needs to win their series this weekend...@ Florida

Of course, this isn't taking any wins in Hoover into account. I don't think AU is out, but they need a good showing to finish the year. 4-5 this year in league series.

Well that's just a bad opinion. They definitely deserve one.

Absolutely a bad opinion

Heck, Illinois played its first 15 games on the road. Their first home game was March 10. That makes them even more impressive IMO.
