No those people are just stupid f**ks. The best QB is Jared Goff, and he was the best one last year as well.

Ah yes. Historically. Mettenberger threw for over 3000 yards in 2013 and 2200 in 2012. Jarrett Lee led LSU to an 8-0 start in 2011. Ryan Perrilloux would have been all SEC had he not been dismissed.
Russell put up big numbers in 2005 and 2006. Flynn threw for 2700 in 2007 and won a NC.
Matt Mauck threw for 2800 in 2003 and won a NC. Rohan Davey put up huge numbers and won an SEC title in 2001. Five LSU QBs have been high draft choices since 2000.
We had ONE subpar year at QB with Jennings last year. One. But somehow, 2000-2013 magically like, never happened - because of 2014???
Amazing.......

Outside of Jimbo Fisher (who is no longer in the SEC) there aren't many teams developing QBs in the SEC.

If that is was a real sample of how good Brandon Harris really is, the rest of the SEC is fricked till he leaves the program. With the defensive commits we have coming in. You have your whole defensive line and rotation coming back, mixed in 5 or 6 of the best DL in the country coming in. On our OLine Toby Weathersby, and Valentine O KeKe and George Brown will red shirt hopefully, tehumma, boutee, pocic, clapp,Dodd, and brumfeild all return and we're bringing in some very talented freshmen. We will have the deepest and best lines in the country offense and defense. We got athletes on both sides the ball at DB and WR the SEC is fricked!!

With a lot of high schools going to the spread, even in Texas now, I dont see the quality of Pro Style QBs getting better any time soon. I would bet the number of coaches with the knowledge and know how to coach a QB to throw is dwindling.

Defenses are going to get smaller behind the front 3 or 4 to get faster defending the spread and short rapidfire throwing offenses then the Pro Style offensive players will get better coming out of HS.

BH went to LSU to learn how to be a pro style quarterback. How far Cam takes home is yet to be seen

You DO realize that you guys are making his point for him, right? He said your QB situation THIS year is historically bad....meaning that it is worse now than it has ever been. You guys get all mad and start talking about how great LSU QB's have been historically....proving that what he said is correct.

I think that's the confusion. Does he mean historically bad as in it's been bad throughout history? Or it's bad enough now to make history? Either way, who cares?

I honestly don't think we saw enough of BH last Saturday to be making any kind of judgment. All you can say was that it was a historically bad case of a coach not taking the training wheels off.
