Nah. I predict Spurrier to use the Clemson formula. Lots of running, lots of dink and dunk passing and lots of clock control. Prevented Clemson's strong offense from ever getting momentum or establishing themselves. In the case of A&M it'll keep our exposed DB off the field.

Maybe, but there is no reason to assume that will be the case. Your defense, which was 20th last year in total defense and below two teams we shredded (Bama and MSU), lost more starters than any in the conference.

It also didn't hurt that Clemson, you know, turned the ball over SIX TIMES
It's pretty amazing they still gained 350 yards all things considered. If you want to factor in six turnovers by our offense into your prediction, I guess I cant stop you.

On the individual level I hate it for him.
On the grander scheme of things I can't help but be happy? ( happy isn't the right word. ) regarding anything that directly or indirectly helps my team.

Was 5 starters more than any defense in the conference?
And you think our losses on defense are more significant than aTm's losses on offense?

In fact, looking at the stats there was really nothing special about that defensive performance versus Clemson outside of the turnovers. They gained 352 yards, averaged 6.3 yards per play, were 6-11 on third down, averaged 4.5 YPC and 12 yards per completion. With even just three turnovers Clemson probably hits 500 yards.
Given my post was simply about moving the ball IF we don't turn it over, I see no reason why that game should alter my thinking.

We were 118th in average TOP last year and had the best offense in the SEC. TOP doesn't mean shite in our offense
Another site puts us a little higher at like 26 mins/game. Regardless, we've won games by 40 or 50 points where we've lost the TOP battle. South Carolina winning it by 5-10+ minutes is probably the surest thing about this game

Wasn't Smith a RB last year? Don't think this hurts as bad as you cocks think. You still have Chris Lammons and that kid is one of the best I've ever seen in person. Especially considering all he's been through.

Exactly. So the 6 TOs from Clemson last year weren't a fluke. They were a part of a 5 year trend that has led to their domination.
You think bringing a new QB in hostile territory without your star WR of the past couple of years won't lead to turnovers?
eta: Why do you think we've had so few turnovers? Because outside of a few bombs we've done lots of running and lots of the quick and short routes. It has allowed us to control the pace and it's enabled to be in the lead or tied for almost the entire time during this 5 game streak so we've never had to come from behind that would require more risk. No reason we won't use the exact same formula against A&M.
