Congrats to Coastal. Great team that played well disciplined, well coached baseball with a whole lot of grit. Deserve every bit of the title.

The CCU team was fun to watch. It's hard to believe a school that has been an independent university only since 1993 won the CWS. Major props to that fast-growing university.

It can certainly be argued that Coastal and CofC have been the best 2 teams in the state of SC the past 3-4 years.
For a small state, SC is surely loaded.

4 years ago South Carolina lost in the CWS finals. Coastal never made it out of regional play in that stretch other than this year. I guess CofC did make it to the SR in 14.

Well..you can kind of ride the coat tails in a roundabout way. Gilmore was all set to go to Auburn if Coastal didn't pony up and give him what he wanted. He turned down about 100k more from Auburn to stay.

Happy for them. Lots of seniors on that team and could tell that they really wanted it. Exciting ending today too.

That team had a no quit mentality. Happy for them they deserve it
