With all that money, you'd think they could buy some Championships in Texas.

It's funny how the "younger step-brothers" of Texas football (Baylor and TCU) have better programs than A&M and UT.

I'd be really nervous if I were UT though; with A&M in the SEC and the success of Baylor and TCU, UT will struggle and I think it's going to be tough for them to find serious success anytime soon.

Exactly, it's a shame Richt makes less than those clowns.

Pretty bad that Dan Mullen and Mark Richt make the same amount of money. This would never happen in a capitalist system. Damn socialist scheme.

Not really. Each has the best coach their respective programs have ever had and they invested in facilities.

Football is cyclical.

Edited for Miles' 2 SEC championships instead of 1; and Saban's 5 SEC championships instead of 6. Threw in a MAC championship for Saban and a Sunbelt championship for Gus.

Everyone happy now?

They also have Urban Myer's info wrong. He did not win 3 SEC championships at Florida, only 2. So he has 5 conference titles instead of 6.

quote:

2. Urban Meyer, Ohio State
$5.8 million a year (extension signed this year)

142-26 overall, 38-3 at Ohio State

6 conference titles (2 at Utah, 3 at Florida, 1 at Ohio State), 3 national champioships (2 at Florida, 1 at Ohio State)

Imagine if Miles still had that contract that said he had to always make $1 more than any coach in the SEC.

It's hard to take this seriously when TCU's last win against Texas A&M was in 1972, and baylor's been winning about once per decade for the 20-30 years.

OK, I gotcha, thought at first you meant, he should be making less.
