you are correct just feel bad for VT and OK. St. who will actually win their conference. how can you be the best in the country if you're not the best in you're conference

SEC only has 5 votes in the coaches poll out of 59 votes. It will be interesting to see how the others vote. It's not a popularity contest for them. Those votes are also not made public or shared. It's a secret ballot and only the final vote is known.
Richt, Chizik, Saban, Miles, and Spurrier have votes.
Saban will probably vote Bama #1 and not rank OSU. It's just the type of shady shite he'd do. Beamer will likely rank VT #2 and drop Stanford and OSU down deep and maybe Bama. Stoops will likely vote against OSU if they beat OU. It's going to be political, and we all know that it can't be predicted.
The question is how will they cancel each other out.
The Harris is usually more the popularity contest.
