There is a lot of HC’s on hot seats, but realistically, are there any OCs, DCs, or position coaches that should be on the hot seat?? I made a comment when Arkansas lost to A&M that there were “change is coming” murmurs bc boosters were mad with messing up KJ’s NFL draft stock. Pittman got the ball rolling firing Enos.

Name one coach (not the HC) on your team who might be on the hot seat, and one that should be from another team.

For A&M - I think our OL coach Steve Addazio‘s seat is heating up. He’s in year 2.

Coach on another team - Someone on Miss State’s staff. Probably the entire offensive staff. You don’t tank Will Rogers draft stock and live to tell about it.

Two other coaches that come to mind are Tommy Rees (Bama OC) or House (LSU DC). Bama and LSU fans, is it safe to say Rees and House have cooled their seats, respectively?

Auburn - Thoughts on Phil Montgomery staying as OC?

Texas A&M's OL performance vs. UTK warranted a dismissal as soon as the game ended.

For Georgia, no one is on the hot seat.

House (LSU DC)

More than likely going back to the NFL. He will not be the DC at LSU next year. He won’t be fired but has been told to look elsewhere. They are going to bring in someone with better recruiting pedigree.

We are better at recruiting guards than tackles. We are also better at run blocking than pass pro. We need fathere back bc starting a freshman at RT sucks. Every year it feels like there is a freshman on the line. We need OL to redshirt, not start year one. It sucks.

Charlie Weis, Jr. needs to be re-homed. He has not grasped the concept that the goal of football is to go down the field and score touchdowns rather than to run straight into a D-line or from sideline to sideline to gain little, no, or negative yardage.

You don't know any of this.

As of now I'd expect Steeples or Cook is in bigger trouble than House.

What part of his take was unrealistic? Programs tell position coaches all the time to move on when they aren’t working on. Sumlin did it with his second OC, Pittman did it with Odom last year, and there are probably other examples. Hell, Bama kinda pushing BoB out the door qualifies. You don’t think LSU is giving House the heads up it’s time to look around and they will help him land his next endeavor?

Willie Martinez for sure. He’s the only assistant that didn’t receive an extension after last season and is currently on an expiring deal.

I bet there are fans of teams on here that low key believe their Strength and Conditioning coach should be fired, but they aren’t brave enough to admit it. There is one team I think it might be an issue but then it might not be, but on the East.

Our OLine is the shits. My guess all involved in this clusterfrick will blame it on Johnson for as long as they can before Jimbo uses Addazio as his scapegoat.

He makes it sound like he's on the staff.

He has know way of knowing if Kelly has told House to find a new job.

Kelly isn’t going to tell House to look around, but he might pressure him to.

I think there is like 3 types of pressure you can apply:

1 - Your fan base pressure (check - assuming the common lsu fan doesn’t want him back, similar to Bama fans with BoB or Golding)

2 - Your Administration pressure ( unknown - is Woody acting different or making off handed comment to House and / or in Kelly’s ear about change?)

3 - Your HC pressure (unknown and unlikely - is Kelly pushing House to look around, or had a performance talk that was blunt, along the lines (we need to see improvement the remaining games, coach speak)

Not an insider, but I am extremely confident that Steeples has already been told he will not be here next season.

There is already articles that if Pittman becomes available, A&M is dropping the bag. You’re not the only one.

Name the Florida position coaches that might be on the hot seat if they don’t get their shite together. Or does everyone survive this year?
