Jeff Long is going to make the next hire. If you truly want him gone than you should enjoy a Kiffin hire.

Why Long too? He hired Petrino and on paper Bert was another home run hire. Is it because he extended him after a 7 win season?

So Miles to Michigan and then to Arky?

Even the fans that believe Jeff Long has been good overall will admit that this was horrible. It has been my biggest issue with him.

It's because he's responsible for hiring John L. Smith and subsequently Bielema.
...as well as giving him a buyout of 12 million dollars.
Hell, I'm now not sure keeping John L. Smith for another year or two would have been as bad as this.

This is a stupid list. Tom Herman at #14? Meanwhile, Gus Bus at #29?

When your team sucks, does it matter? They (the Razorbacks) could actually be worse this season than they were last season.

Sure, it does. You want to make it the best possible situation for the next guy. Although Bert has done a bad job, I feel fairly confident that the team isn't going to implode. I would definitely not say the same for John L.

Bert should be number one based on performance.
It is amazing to see the coverage on Sumlin. If this had been a Malzahn or Ogeron coached team. People would have been talking about the injuries to the starting QB, D. Wilson, both running backs, 2 defensive ends, the kicker, and several others.
A&M had to play 20+ freshman that game and they continued to struggle with injuries into week 2.
Definitely not fair and balanced, especially since their record now is what every one expected after 2 weeks.

Are you sure about that? Gus lost to a great team on the road by 8 and he is taking a ton of heat.

If John L. Smith would have remained there another year, we would have had a chance at Chris Peterson or James Franklin.
...if they choke to A & M again, the implosion would have officially begun.

How long have you been following college/NFL football. Coaches lose jobs all the time because they don't win, even in the face of brutal injury situations. Not to mention your starting QB who is hurt is not exactly all world, and has less experience than, say, Hubanek. Hubanek should be good and 'coached up' by now, right?

It's not the loss to UCLA as much as the way they lost.
Similar to LSU losing last year to Auburn. It wasn't losing as much as the loss being due to the offense and clock management, both of which were recurring problems under Les.

Odom is essentially out. Sterk (the AD) put out feelers to the appropriate parties (search firms) to gauge national interest in the job and see who might want the job if it opened up.
Put a fork in him.
Put a fork in him.

Nah, will just be a shitty team going through the motions. I'm talking about players getting arrested. Did you forget about 2012?

I'm wondering what the next crop of SEC coaches will look like since it appears half of the current ones are getting fired.
Sumlin, Bert, Odom, and Luke are likely being turned over and there is a legit shot of Malzahn, Butch, Sharkfricker, and others as well.
About the only ones looking secure right now are Saban, O, and Mason at Vandy.

Also, he hired a frickin' TV analyst in Jimmy Dykes for WBB coach. Mike Neighbors would have come no matter who the AD would be.
Petrino was forced onto him by a booster. I mean his main considerations were Jim Grobe and Will Muschamp.
Mike Anderson was forced onto him as well. I think the guy he was wanting to go after was Buzz Williams supposedly.
Thankfully, he has kept his hands off the baseball program.
All Jeff Long has done is build up his Captain Morality/Captain Integrity image, given himself a huge raise for nothing, and talk a load of crap like the head football coach he hired 5 years ago.
