Guess they credit us with a team effort instead of having a single player leading the way.

snubbed:
Duke Williams
Tre White
UGA OL

wtf:
Depriest? Not best on own team, others did deserve though
2 Auburn DBs? Worst secondary in the league

You were 3rd in scoring and 7th in rushing.

And we had the #1 defense in the SEC. How you turn a fact into a laughing emoticon is puzzling

That other Bama LB was dominant against LSU, Ragland? I feel he is better than Depriest, but I admittedly didn't watch all of your games.

No, that's pretty much accurate.

Depriest is ok, solid tackler, but is no where near fast enough to do much of anything in coverage, or get a proper angle if he misjudged a fast RB or WR.

Yeah, I thought Ragland had a better year myself.

LSU was third in scoring defense in the nation, 2nd in the SEC. Fewest yards allowed in the SEC, 2nd in passing defense. Where are you even pulling these stats bud?

What are you arguing? My main point is that our DBs were snubbed. Our passing defense was beastly. Thats absurd Auburn had 2 make the 2nd team and we had no players on either.

@JamesCrepea: Same SEC "coaches" (read: SIDs) had Tre Mason 2nd team and ommitted Greg Robinson among 15 OL last year. The system sucks, we know this.

2 Auburn DBs make All-SEC with and were 63rd in the country in pass efficiency defense

We were #1, and had none

Because you were 3rd in scoring and 7th in rushing. That does not equal the #1 defense. You gave up the fewest yards but not the fewest points. Saying you were the #1 defense is not true. You ranked #1 in total defense. Congrats. That doesn't mean as much when you are 3rd in scoring.

Well when you're giving teams short fields because your offense sucks it's much easier to score

#8 total defense in the nation, #1 in SEC

#3 scoring defense in the nation, #2 in the SEC

#1 in passing eff. defense in the nation, #1 in the SEC

Our rushing defense was #6 in SEC, but no one is claiming our DLs or MLBs should be honored on here. Plus it was still #38 in the country despite starting Welter half the year which is a huge accomplishment

So #1 in total defense, # 2 in scoring defense, and 0 players 1st or 2nd team all SEC. Seems legit
