If you win people say you should have won by more. If you lose it is a disaster.

No wonder Mizzou never gets the respect they deserve.

If you're an SEC team, and you play a Sunbelt/CUSA team on the road out of state, you will get no respect. Ever.

I can see teams like aTm and State playing SMU and Southern Miss, respectively, for recruiting purposes.

But the game was on ESPN3.

We locked down that all important cord cutter demographic.

Almost every SEC team has played a road game @ a mid major in the past.

And there's nothing wrong with it if it's an in state game.

That's kind of disrespectful, calling the piggies a mid major.

Yeah because they have no visibility to recruits in their home states.

Not just for recruiting, but also to please alumni and in some cases, the politicians (Arkansas playing in Little Rock).

in-state

ETA: When's the last time one of the Big Six has played a mid-major on the road out of state?

Florida doesn't even play out-of-state games OOC period.

Also, in the case of A&M, schools like SMU and Rice used to be conference mates. So there's some history there.

So Missouri should play D3 semo or D2 mo state at their place. Because those schools are recruting Mizzou level players...

Some people just don't understand the stupid in their head

Not sure who was making the schedules in the 80's for Alabama.

Alabama played @ Tulane (SuperDome) in 1992.

We also played @ USL in Lafayette in 1990.

and played @ Temple in 1988.

and played @ Memphis in 1985.

Not sure why we played so many scrub teams on the road during that little period.

We haven't played one in basically 25 years at this point.

Cruise you need to brush up on SEC recent history like in 30 years and give examples of when most SEC teams have played on the road against a mid major. I get that State, Mizzou, Vandy, and OM do this.

pinkels problem isn't where he plays or who he plays, its the absolute disgrace he calls an offense.

I'm trying really hard but I can't think of LSU doing this for the last 25 years.

Closest would be playing Tulane (a historical rival) in the Superdome.

I don't mind playing La Tech in Shreveport about once ever ten or fifteen years. We do recruit a lot of kids out of that area.

And it's debatable if playing at SMU will happen again as long as we play Arkansas at JW.
