Right because the people that live in Alabammer speak so clearly and are so damn intelligent. Bunch Ivy league hopefuls. Hey he makes a lot more sense than Miles ever did with his fancy Michigan education so that's already an improvement.

I think most LSU fans are taking a wait and see approach. By the way guess who had a 16-32 record in his first 3 years as a head coach (all losing seasons)?

I think Coach O is actually a perfect fit for LSU. He sounds like LSU and looks like LSU. And that's not a bad thing.

I hope he does a solid job for them, honestly. He seems so excited to have the chance. It's going to be ugly, though, if he fails and his fans turn on him.

That being said, I hope he goes 0-5 vs Bama.

their fan base seems to be divided but the question was do you want him as the face of your team?

You should ask Kiffin why he would hire such a fool for his own program...and twice at that!

difference between being an assistant and the face of the program. Dont you think? If Bama needed an assistant and agreat crooter I would want O to be considered. I would not want Lane as the face of BAma ever.

I don't know where you get this. Coach Oeaux sounds knowledgeable and very much in command from the times I've heard him speak. Maybe you're just trolling LSU fans? Or maybe you're prejudiced against Cajuns? I hope Oeaux does well except for next weekend. If you know his story, he's worked hard for the opportunity he has been given and I like to see people succeed who have been knocked down, pulled themselves up by their bootstraps and scaled the mountaintop.

Lay has been a fierce opponent both on the recruiting trail and on the field. Will you Bama fans please stop trying to talk them down off the ledge of hiring Ed?

shite, let them hire the guy. He is not a big splash hire, he has no history of successfully running a big time program for any length of time.

Hiring him should be exactly what rival fans would want them to do.

Just because he has an accent and a very different voice, doesn't mean he has not spoken intelligently. On the contrary, he makes perfect sense and speaks well from the heart. If we beat everyone with the exception of Alabama, I would be proud to have him as our coach. All that being said I have a good feeling about the Gump game next Saturday. Geaux Tigers!

As an LSU fan i listen to his radio show on wednesday. He is very cartoonish with his voice. A caller asked, "Tom Herman kisses all his players when they get off the bus for a game. Are you going to start doing that?" CEO responded, "thats a stupid question."
He won me over right there.

Its refreshing to have a coach that is truthful and doesnt dance around things and talk in circles.
