How does that compare to other high quality basketball coaches? I didn't realize basketball coaching can pay as well as football coaching in college.

I guess this was the next best offer after the Lakers passed over him and the TWolves had no interest.

Last I saw was Coach K is currently the highest paid coach in all of basketball including the NBA.

Cal just passed like 90% of the NBA coaches I think.

The final 3 years of his contract, he will be the highest paid HC assuming coach K does not receive a raise.

Wow, nice contract for him.

All guaranteed except for APR, which doesn't really mean shite to a winning program in basketball.

Donovan is much more likely to go to the NBA. He still has the itch.

Tell that to UCONN.

What this means is Kentucky won't be able to afford to fire him, which means Kentucky can expect to not beat Arkansas for a long long time.

They've surprisingly had extremely good APR scores since he has been there. Daniel Orton leaving before finishing his spring semester has really been the only issue.

Good point.

Then again, they did win a(n?) NC two years later.

They may have been able to win another in between had they been eligible for post season play and the roster not blow up because of the APR issues.

Way too much money for any coach, but if anyone deserves it, it's him.

I smell fear in this thread

Looks like Cal is not going to the NBA. Word is, the 2015 class is going to be better then last years crop. And if the rule changes, Cal will have them for 2 years
