Lol. You must be a young Mississippi fan. Are you all perennial contenders?

I almost have to agree...anytime you almost lose to Ole Miss there is definitely a hint of $hit somewhere on the team.

Well hell, that don't speak highly of Ole Miss.

They are a legitimate top 10 team. I don't see how you can possibly argue that they are not right now.

Not sure how anyone could look at Clemson and not see them as a legit top ten team. They have potential.

This deserves some clarification. It was a shitty team by LSU standards, not by Ole Miss standards.

the "Clemson love" isn't bullsh*t in my opinion.
Do you think if Georgia had come out on top in that game that ESPN would have made a segment called "Believe in UGA"? Hell no, because when SEC teams win, its not really a big deal, its casual. But when a team, any team, beats an SEC team, any SEC team, everyone freaks out and declares that team is super good all of a sudden.

eta: clemson is really good this year btw, dont get me wrong. But they still play in the ACC and have a 2 game schedule from here on out-FSU and USC. Basically the ACC comes down to 1 game- Clemson/FSU while everyone knows the SEC is a different monster. One game, does not a season make (except in the acc)

Georgia was a contender. It was a huge early season win for Clemson

LSU did not want to be there

I get tired of hearing this excuse when teams lose. I suppose teams that win wanted to be there but if you lose you can always just say the team didn't want to be there. Give Clemson some due. They beat 2 damn good SEC teams. While I don't lose sleep over it, it does kind of piss me off having to listen to all the love for Clemson and the ACC but they earned it. Don't wanna hear it, beat them.

but they earned it.

If they can beat FSU and SCar well kudos to them, they deserve whatever invite they might get.

Clemson is still irrelevant. UGA has a much bigger game this week. If you look at UGA's loss objectively, it was a meaningless game to them. If they win this Sat they are right back in the mix. If Clemson loses once, they are done. The ACC is an afterthought. A bowl win and a home opener bore me. FSU will destroy Clemson and lose to Fla. I cant believe we are actually talkin bout Clemson. Waste of time

FSU and Clemson are in the same division so they can't play twice. This is one of Clemson's toughest schedules in recent years and its because they play 2 SEC teams. Well news flash, every SEC teama has to play 8 SEC teams each year and then possibly a 9th in the championship game. I realize there are suckass teams in the SEC right now but its still stronger top to bottom than the ACC.

couldn't have said it better myself.

Though, (as much as it pains me) i cant agree w/ your 1st statement. Clemson is relevant right now. but youre right, after 1 loss, they will be an afterthought. Unfortunatley the acc wont give them many tough games.
