The thing is, A&M has lots of talent. That is what the A&M fans told us all off season. So, it can only be coaching. Or, they don't have talent after all.

Either way, A&M fans were wrong.

Texas A&M's rush defense is ranked 106.

Last year Texas A&M's rush defense was ranked 114.

John freaking Chavis. Was this the improvement Aggie fans were hoping for?

we do not have LBs.
You can not field any rush defense without LBs.
Our safeties are our leading tacklers because of ZERO LB play.
If the running back is getting to the second level that consistently, I imagine we will have one of the worst rush defenses in the country.

HOWEVER, our defense is improved in most other areas and if you argue that I really don't know what you are watching.

AND, we were picked to finish 6th or 7th in the west which isn't happening, and we will end up losing to 3 really good teams.

FINALLY, why does ANY of this matter so much to LSU fans when they are in the middle of a potential title run?
it's pathetic in my honest to God opinion.

True, but this is now the 4th win by the Aggies this season where the defense needed to get stops in the 4th quarter and succeeded. LSU fans are just as wrong about "3rd and Chavis".

You haven't been leading a good team in the 4th quarter and haven't needed to make a stop to win the game. The only really good team yall played was Bama and yall couldn't stop them in the 1st quarter. So check back when yall are leading a GOOD team and have to make a stop then come back and talk.

This has more to do with Auburn and Arkansas failing to live up to expectations. A&M is about the same quality team that most projected in the preseason.

3rd and Chavis goalpost moves to it only goes into effect against top 10 teams. Interesting.

The aggys will lose to Arizona State, Mississippi State, South Carolina, finish last in the west, never get off the field on third down, not create any pressure on defense, see myles garrett regress, fail in man coverage, and watch their recruiting go to shite, or some shite like that.

Not to mention, we don't have a top 50 defense so I'd say the jury is still out.
However, everything I have posted was proven wrong.

LOL, you forget that they have yet to play LSU.

LSU's 4 games vs TAMU

2010 (bowl game) - 288 yards 2 TDs (5.24 ypc)
2012 on the road - 219 yards 2 TDs (4.87 ypc)
2013 at home - 324 yards 2 TDs (5.89 ypc)
2014 on the road - 384 yards 1 TD (6.74 ypc)

We are WAY better at rushing the ball than we have ever been, and TAMU looks worse now than they have been in the previous 4 matches.

Ball State is ranked 76th in rush offense, yet TAMU gave up 240. If you do the average without the TAMU game, they are the 87th ranked rush offense. I'll do that with some other opponents as well.

Rush Offenses Of TAMU SEC Opponents
-Arkansas is ranked 36th. They are 39th when you take out the TAMU game
-Bama is ranked 41st. They are 60th when you take out the TAMU game
-South Carolina is ranked 59th. They are 73rd when you take out the TAMU game
-Ole Miss is ranked 67th. They are 75th when you take out the TAMU game
-Miss St is ranked 95th. They are 101 when you take out the TAMU game

A couple of funny things about this.

*They have played once outside of Texas this year, and lost by 20
*They have given up at least 40 more yards against every SEC opponent, than what that SEC opponent averages for the year minus the TAMU game. The majority get a 60+ yardage boost.
*LSU is by far the best rush offense in the SEC, averaging 95 more yards and 1.1 yards per carry better than the #2 team. They are averaging 113 yards better and 1.6 yards per carry better than any team TAMU has faced.
*LSU has yet to face an FCS team or face TAMU so their rush stats are even more impressive.

My predictions are that Fournette gets 300+, and LSU rushes for anywhere from 400-500 yards.
