And yes, Chizik has been incredibly successful so far. Last year, AU was picked 5th or 6th in the West, no bowl, and losing season

Incredibly succesful is a huge stretch. Au did finish 5th in the SEC West last year. Not many predicted a losing season or no bowl game. Congrats on the Athletic Department "buying" the bowl game on NYD.

Chiz and Gus have done better than expected in recruiting but when the season isn't as spectacular as the Au fans/media is hyping it up to be there will a letdown in recruiting momentum. and if Gus were to leave, then bye bye top 10 class.

Many many did. I bet you did. Hell you are predicting 6-6 THIS YEAR. You going to say AU far exceeded your expectations when we win more?

Sure retard, whatever you say.

Wait and see. We can make a wager on either Gus leaving after this year or no top 10 class anytime you want.

Heard that last year numbnuts. He will be back in 2011 too no matter what rumors people try to start. If he leaves in 2012 or 2013 or later, we will be so fricking loaded on offense, a top co-ordinator will be drooling at the opportunity to coach us and we will get the best available OC in the country at that point.

Rumors? It's common sense really. I can go here and make 1.5-2.5 mil a year as a head coach or stay here in Auburn as a assistant and make 4-500k

Zook gets the boot this year, Illi is gonna come after him, and they wont be the only ones.

Chizik has shown to be at least a good coach after last year, to get the turn around he did. The thing I like is that the team is headed in the right direction. We had massive depth and talent issues Chizik and staff are working to get that cleared up, we'll see how he does when he has that talent.

LMAO at you gump. Are you a 12 year old girl or something with the "LMAO"? You sound like one. You sound about as smart as one.

That is fricking pitiful. I hope other gumps are "embrassed" you are a bama fan. If not, their expectations of their fanbase are pitiful. Much worse than AU's of Chizik who had a significantly better first year than your current coach.

You finished 5th in the West.

7-5 record with a 3-5 conference record and finishing 5th in the SEC West normally doesn't get you into a new year's day bowl. Luckily, several other teams in the SEC finished with the same record.

He outrecruits Saban (according to Rivals) during a fricking national championship season?

Glad you threw that "according to Rivals" bit in there. Chizik pulled a great recruiting class, but he certainly did not "out recruit Saban"... While we were beating our chests about having back to back #1 recruiting classes on Rivals, you all were beating your chests about a "Bammer bias". So, is Rivals legit, or not? Also, why do you leave out the fact that Saban "out recruited Chizik according to Scout and ESPN"?

new recruits

This is what Auburn has done well under Chiz.

The assistants were hired to do this.

Malzon being there has been the key to any offensive player they have succesfully recruited.

Chiz is managing it.

By a whopping 1 game difference. And since you're in the mood to discuss recruiting and since we're playing the "let's compare Chizik's first year to Saban's first year" game - Saban pulled in the #1 ranked recruiting class in America according to both Scout and Rivals following that 7-6 record.

I didn't say that. I think he's far exceeded the expectations that most Auburn fans had of him when AU announced the decision to hire him. That doesn't mean that he's an awesome coach, better than Saban, and going to own the SEC in the coming years... it just means that he's done better than the expectations that were set out for him... which were about nil.

I'm glad that we only have a few more months of this stupid moral victory argument being relevant. As soon as Au loses their first (of the many) reg season game this year I'm sure it will be convieniently forgotten and not mentioned.

With the schedule Auburn has this year, if Chizik wins less than 10 games he should be fired immediately. There will not be a single excuse to save him with that pathetic schedule.
