Not that he would ever publicize it but I would LOVE to hear Gus' take of what he saw going so wrong in 2011.

Me too. I'll be an old man if I do find out post-Gus retirement.

All of that is well and good, but it doesn't explain how Auburn had three of the worst D's, statistically, in the history of Auburn. Two of those three D's were the worst in Auburn's history. Doesn't explain how in 2011 Auburn was blown out five times in SEC play. In 2012 he went winless, in the SEC, as we all know. He was a solid DC, but I think the college game has passed his D scheme by. I don't see how anybody ever gives him a HC job again, after seeing the difference in this Auburn team from last year to this year. It is obvious why Coach Chiz had success at Auburn and it wasn't of his doing. I wish him the best but he is not Auburn's problem anymore.

I hate to say this but he sounds a lot like Shug.
OK Schwaazy, I'll bite: how so?
Freep, Shug used to blame everyone but himself on his tv show. He loved to blame the refs and say "if this happened, and that happened, we would have won." I'm sure he was a very nice guy but that is the way he came across.
Nothing earth shattering, just an observation.
Hope you are doing well.

Very Interesting. Quote:
To me, I always try to put things in a positive light. The NCAA came into Auburn for two years, and there were a lot of accusations and rumors and innuendos that started with Cam Newton and continued on. But they were here for over two years and when they come in for that long, all you have to do is point to Miami, Ohio State, they're going to find (something).
They found exactly what I thought they would find: Zero major violations of any sort. We did it right here. So at times you feel like it's under siege, but at the end of the day, I know we did it right.
