Hard to be touched when nearly all passes are <10 yds.

I'd be willing to bet Blake Sims gets touched in the backfield pretty often

Glad to see the young man do good. It's a shame we pulled his offer after stealing Andy Dodd.

So, when we don't give up sacks, it's because we throw quick passes?

When our D faces quick passes, we suck and can't get any pressure on the QB?

It's all very clear now.

We gonna screen our way to a top 10 offense and playoff berth.

I'm actually really pleased to have a QB that can avoid pressure and use his legs. Not exactly a tradition here.

But they must be telling him to try and stay in the pocket, though, because I swear there have been about 6 plays where he could have definitely gotten a first down on the ground but didn't.

Thoughts?

He has played very well so far. I would like to see him play with a bit more of a mean streak at times, finding people to blow up when he gets disengaged away from the play etc.

It is also hard to be touched when the best defense you have faced so far is a West Virginia defense that gave up 37 points and 450 yards total yards to Maryland

I think the coaches may be holding him back some to keep him healthy.

not so sure that's a good thing... UF's defense is light years ahead of WV, FAU, USM.

Dump off passes and screen plays rarely produce sacks.

Cam is more of a can't miss prospect than Andre. Cam is freakishly strong for a freshman and more athletic than Andre.

It's a natural tendency for Blake he even did it in HS... keeping plays alive with his feet until the run is the only option.

He's got great quickness and balance very shifty in the open field the 1st defender hasn't tackled him yet.

He's shown a huge amount of positives and his mistakes are few and far between.

The Rant will overheat when Sims gets sacked for the first time this weekend.

It will be so nice when Bama finally plays a team that won more games than they lost last year so we can quit listening to how they dominated garbage teams.

Blake Sims 48/64 75% 0 sacks.... no one has even gotten close enough to touch Sims.. he seems to have some Rich Gannon in him... senses pressure better than any QB I've seen in a while.

Easy feat when you have played two of the worse teams in the country...Florida Atlantic & Southern Piss...both God awful. West Virginia is not much better and is a pass happy team with no run game and no defense. We will see after 7pm on Saturday what kind of defense UF has. Sims will be lifted by halftime or even before...he will be wearing #6's aftershave by 2nd qt. Fowler will be touching him early and often.

You keep angrily posting this same thing in multiple threads but who has Auburn played so far?

I would love to see a good response to this, but I already know nobody will touch it.

Sorry but how did Arkansas and SJ State finish last year?

6-6 and 3-9.

Sorry your QB hasn't been as productive as ours against bad teams.
