Check in if you went undefeated in non-conference baseball this year.

With the victory over Rice last night, A&M completes their non-conference schedule a perfect 25-0.

Yeah, a lot of scrubs in there, but not all of them and it’s not like midweek games are where you are going to go all out.

Doesn’t mean squat, but still a nice statement about consistency.


(Somewhat weakened by shitting the bed in The Box last weekend.)

Even Texas, who is the best OOC RPI win for aTm, has an RPI of 51.

I'm not a huge college baseball guy, but isn't this mostly a poll about how good your midweek (#4 and worse) starters are? Once conference play starts, OOC games are where teams throw their weakest pitchers. It's more a measure of depth than how good the front line pitchers for a team are... right?

I don’t even think it’s that. I’m not sure there is all that much at all to take from it. It means you didn’t lose games you were supposed to win, and that’s about it.
