I can't imagine the life someone lives that would cause them to actually research this much less take the time to post it.

Prayers sent

Wisconsin you forgot to mention that LSU punted the ball to make Wisconsin travel the whole field

So we ran 6 times in a row for a whopping 20 yards just so we could punt the ball to the other team and force them to travel the field.

How about (novel concept) we score a touchdown and put the game out of reach?

What a genius strategy that might be.

Thank you for illustrating the problem.

If we didn't waste thousands of hours of our lives on meaningless activities (like obsessing over football), we wouldn't be living on the Rant.

You really need help if you let a football game make you feel like that.

Just a couple fingers of whisky to take the edge off.

Helps suppress the urge to throw the remote through the TV.

Our last two offensive possessions of the State game were painful to watch. We threw the ball once on 3rd and long but otherwise ran it over and over again until predictably we punted it back.

Only a genuine sunshine pumper couldn't see what was happening.

Ok so LSU throws the ball against wisky with Anthony Jennings who so many people think is the worst qb in history and they still don't get the first down and now you give the other team more time to score. Why not as a coach you just stick with what you do best to achieve your goal instead of just passing to pass. LSU is and will always be a run team under Les. I will also repeat that they won the game and majority of the games in the op.

If you're saying our offensive "issues" mean the best strategy is to run the ball and hope and pray our defense stops the other team, I agree. I would also note the other team knows we have zero intention of passing the ball and reacts accordingly. State yielded some yards early on those last two drives but totally shut us down once we got on their side of the 50 in large part because they knew we'd be running it up the gut.

Where we disagree is that I should be happy about this status quo of limping to the finish line without slamming the door shut.

Many LSU fans blame our defense (Chavis in recent years) while ignoring our offense's inability to get first downs, sustain drives and get in the end zone late in games where a touchdown makes the difference between a comfortable win and sweating it out until the end.

It often goes unnoticed when we come away with the win. Slightly more noticeable to far more people against State since we had a 15 point lead.

It could also be that people just accept our offense for what it is and demand that the defense always be ready 24/7 to bail out the offense.

Les Miles entertains America while murdering the livers of his own fanbase.
