15%. Auburn's defense has improved, but Alabama plays much better on the road and I don't think their receivers are as big of a threat to challenge a much improved Bama secondary.

2009 Alabama : #2 S&P, #14 offense, #2 defense
2009 Auburn : #25 S&P, #22 offense, #48 defense

Yea that 2009 Auburn team was much better than the 2015 one. 2011 much better.

Trent Richardson was a Heisman hopeful in 2011 and ran for 200+.

Punt Bama Punt and Kick 6 come to mind.

I never take them lightly and they are playing better. having Lawson back helps but just don't see it.

We heard you the first time. Doesn't make it any better of a comparison. It was more or less the same team that went 3-9 the next season minus Malzahn.

Key losses

QB Cam Newton
RB Mario Fannin
WR Darvin Adams
WR Terell Zachery
WR Kodi Burns
LT Lee Ziemba
LG Mike Berry
C Ryan Pugh
RG Byron Isom
DE Antoine Carter
DE Micheal Goggans
NG Zach Clayton
NT Nick Fairley
NT Mike Blanc
LB Josh Bynes
LB Craig Stevens
CB Demond Washington
K Wes Byrum
P Ryan Shoemaker

Had just played an embarrassing game against Samford and lost 45-7 at Georgia, Malzahn was on his way out, and the team was in free-fall mode. Wait until after Saturday to make stupid comparisons.

Upsets seldom happen in this game but they do happen. If one team is clearly better, they usually win. That being said, this will be a close, hard fought game that will come down to the 4th quarter like usual.

What do the losses from 2010 matter? That was the 12th game of 2011. The personnel is much more similar.

Average/Below Average QB, above average RBs, average WRs, average OL, porous defense, similar records, similar ratings on both sides of the ball, not many explosive players on offense, a few scary pass rushers.

They are actually remarkably similar.

I don't see Julio on bama's team this year. Additionally, bama was 12-0 and facing a 7-4 AU team that year.
And finished the year 14-0....... What's your point TiM?

If Aubie can get through Bama's O-Line on passing situations, they have a shot. But if it's constantly 2nd and 4 or 3rd and one or 2 for Bama, it's game over early. The key is to swarm defenders around Henry. I watched him on several runs vs LSU and he literally fell two or three extra yards closer to the First Down stick. That's a talent in itself. If you can hold him up at the point of contact you may have a shot. But then you better hope Snowboard Cam or JJ can be accurate on pump fakes because Bama is very good at swatting the ball down if they don't get to the QB.

AU's oline has been suspect at times this year - they've improved but will it be enough to stand toe to toe with Bama's Dline for 4 qtrs?
