Same shite happened last year

They beat Petrino's WKU team to go to 2-0 and they were mighty confident. Predictions of beating Oregon, or at least playing them close, and winning 5/6 SEC games were rampant

No! Didn't happen last year and hasn't happened this year. We have a couple of posters that like to stir the pot but as a whole you are wrong.

Just because your team can't beat OU doesn't mean the rest of the conference has a problem doing it. Hell, Bama can't beat Utah, but I'm confident the rest of the conference isn't terrified of the Utes.

And that's my point, have things gotten that bad for UT that they have to turn to Vandy fans to make themselves feel better?

His whole not saying Vanderbilt for charity was the biggest sham ever. The bet was clearly that he was not supposed to talk about Vandy at all, yet he turned it into call Vandy everything but Vandy. Pathetic.

Do you say the same about UGA and Tech and their rivalry game aka "Clean, Old Fashioned Hate"? Because Vandy hates our guts and always has. You may not realize it because the series has been so lopsided and never been of any consequence since the mid-1920s, especially to those outside of Middle TN, but for Middle Tennesseans and Vandy fans that hatred is strong and goes back well over a 100 years and the game even has a name "Hatred in the Hills." For those of us in East and West, TN or outside TN it hasn't been a rivalry game in several decades (since Thomas Edison really) - Vandy is small and we don't encounter them - but in Middle, Tennessee that hate is as strong and pure as any other rivalry.

For reference:
Clean Old Fashioned Hate: UGA leads 64 - GT 39 - 5 Ties
Hatred in the Hills: Tennessee leads, 73–30–5 Ties

Lots of Tennessee fans invaded Oregon message boards hyping up their offensive line and McCullers

And yet that oline was supposed to be as good as it had been and McCullers should've taken the next step. You're basically saying that out of one of the largest fan bases in CFB a few posters got excited. Who'd think a few fanatics would hype their team. I can assure you the majority of us may have hyped our oline as one of the best but we didn't claim we were gonna pound Oregon.

Most of us were quite clear that our D sucked and our QB couldn't pass. Bisonduck, will remember me saying so.

Living in Nashville, everyday on the midday radio show it turns into a cripple fight between Vandy and UT fans. Why is that?

I live in Nashville and listen everyday. I can say 100% that is false.

You realize the conversation came up because a Vandy fan called in and started talking about Butch and UT for no reason, right?

Yes. Do you realize that Chad trolls Vandy almost (had to put that in there so you don't say that my statement is 100% false) every single day? His attitude when talking about them is pathetic.

I see you have not corrected on my other statement about "not saying Vandy" for charity. Should I assume you agree with me on that point?

If Big Game Bob with his SEC hate don't go full Deliverance on the Vols, I'd be stunned.

Bama fans can tell you how good OU DL is at getting after the QB. Norman is not a good place for five offensive linemen to get their first road start, especially at night. Tenn defense may have their bright spots, but if they score more than 10 I'll be surprised.

That's cause vandy fans were harassing him on twitter. Yesterday, they were simply talking about the poor job Mason has done, as they should. After all, they are in Nashville.

To say everyday on Nashville radio that there is a UT vs Vandy fight is purely false.

If UT stands a chance it's going to be in a shoot out. I don't see their defense stopping Trevor Knight.

I'm not worried about Knight, our secondary is good - Cam Sutton pretty much locks down his corner and even comes up to make plays (kid is just fast) and Randolph is solid. OU will make some plays there but that's one of the strengths of this team. What I'm worried about is them running the ball which is our weak spot on DL, especially the interior line (the rest of the DL is better than expected and has some really good but green players).

That said, the edges are good on the dline - for once and we finally have a pass rush.

I think UT keeps it close. There is no rational reason for me to think this, but I'm going with it anyway.

Rocky Top with the moral victory, only loses by a TD.
