The Reddit thread had the top 5 schools by land area listed, and then referenced that ASU wouldn't be in the top 5 without Alaska... kind of a good metric. Not sure Alaska should count given no FBS school there and defacto massive bonus land to UW... I guess they do at least have the dogs to pull a sled up there and use the land...

Miami is undefeated but doesn't have territory in South Florida. Why?????
Posted on 10/23/17 at 9:41 am to Mr. Elvert
They didn't start with any because they split a county with FIU and FIU is more centrally located

Cliff's notes... this has frick all to do with fandom, popularity, or any other metric that you think it does... it's more or less College Football Risk, played out over the course of the season, with proximity to counties determining starting land mass... the end. Nothing more.
In that case it's even more bullshite.

Ah the classic double down
"I didn't understand it at first so it's still dumb."

It's arbitrary nonsense, and just in Georgia alone it's bullshite. I know the Bama fan who responded above doesn't even know what "arbitrary" means. You really expect me to believe South Carolina has no presence/pull in the state, or that Miami and LSU have that much of Georgia? Not to mention other random changes in areas for no apparent reason.
This is about a team losing land to a team that beats it, and if another team beats the first victor, then all the land goes to latter victor. That is all this is. It has nothing to do with who has more influence/pressence/pull in a state. You literally accuse me of not comprehending a simple word you didn't even use correctly. Arbitrary means it is random without reason,or a system. But there are clear rules to this game, simple ones at that. Ones that are clearly beyond your comprehension.

I'm sorry you're dumb.

I made fun of him for not understanding only because he tried to make of fun of me. The truth is I only understand it because you had to explain it so many times the first week, that it finally sank it.

Never seen this before. Pretty cool.
Almost asked what was going on but after watching it cycle a couple times it made sense.
Looks like a team could hypothetically go undefeated and only own 2 territories until the championship game where it would, at the very least, pick up a 3rd. Though, I don't think anyone could realistically get into the playoffs after a loss.

We beat NC State and Missouri so we took their land. We lost to Kentucky so they took ours. Then Florida took it from them, and then LSU took it from them.
Syracuse recently took all of Clemsons land (which was a lot), and then Miami beat them so now they have it.
Clear anything up?
