No kidding. The way he got out of the way and let that team carry him to the NIT. JJ would've had y'all in the CBI if he had been trying to coach this squad.

I agree that Obasohan deserves accolades. Again this is CBS sports so don't get too caught up. The real ones haven't come out yet. Cal won't get coach of the year...it'll be Kennedy or Martin.

Only issue I have with the list is that Kennedy should obviously by COY.

I'm trying not to be a homer, but kennedy literally got us to our first conference title in 30 years and we are no where near as talented as UK/vandy/lsu.

1. Cal is not the COY. That is just silly.
2. Simmons is the POY and it isn't close.
3. Is Caruso really the best defensive player in the conference? He's a good defender and I'm happy he's getting recognition, but I find it hard to believe.
4. While I understand why the guys are on first team, I still think Jones is worthy.

I wouldn't say it's silly. His hat is in the ring for a host of other reasons, but I do think Martin, Kennedy, or Avery should get it.

I wouldn't disagree with Simmons, but Ulis is at the very least just as much of a viable option. Arguments could be made for both.

He's the only guy all season that made Murray earn every bucket he made in a game. I was impressed.

I think the most glaring omission is Obasohan.

I agree Cal shouldn't have been COY. While it ended up being one of his better coaching years we still under achieved considering the expectations coming in.
