CBS analyst Gary Danielson is not one to be shy about stating his opinion.

Speaking on the CBS SEC Football podcast Tuesday afternoon, he made some interesting remarks about Tennessee’s offense — in particular second-string running back Alvin Kamara:

“With Kamara bursting onto the scene, and in my mind, I think the top back in the league right now. Name anybody, I’ll take Kamara.”

Last weekend versus Texas A&M, he accounted for 127 yards rushing and 161 yards receiving.

I wouldn't argue. I'd definitely put him in the top 3-5.

He is definitely in the conversation. The way he has been used has been criminal.

He must be referring to healthy backs. Kamara legit though, no doubt.

Yeah it's hard to argue with 280 yards receiving and rushing with a 7 ypc rush average.

Yes, that is the reaction he said he was expecting.

Yeah if I had to put a team together, I'd probably go with Chubb as my every down back and then flip a coin between Tra Williams and Kamara as the change of pace back.

Gary also said that the NCAA should shorten the length of the games to reduce the length of the broadcast.... oblivious to what everyone else knows. CBS is the worst network to try and watch a college football game on.

First time I noticed him, I thought, "He is like Kenyan Drake fast, why couldn't he make it at Bama?" and then he fumbled, and it hit me. Oh, that's why.

I would agree he's probably the best on the volunteers.

He would be the best running back at Alabama right now. God forbid someone doesn't like playing under Saban or living in Tuscaloosa.
