I'm as skeptical about Dooley as anyone, but I think we beat Florida this year. They don't scare me at all. If it turns into a shootout I like our chances. Plus we finially aren't fielding a JV roster

We're going to suck this year. I've given up on being optimistic

I'm sure you guys are excited you can drop Versus and Fox southwest from your cable plan.
The TV plan for the Big XII is a joke. Serious upgrade to the SEC deal.

Yeah. Not really. Tenn had a good run from 95 to 98. But Bama dominated as many years in the 90's as Tennessee did in the end.
Bama win seasons in the 90's:
11-1
13-0
12-1
10-3
10-3
10-3
Vols win seasons in the 90's:
11-1
10-2
11-2
13-0
Bama had 33% more 10 win seasons in the 90's than Tn did and just as many NC's.

From 93-01, what were the two school's records?
Posted on 2/19/12 at 9:30 pm to volfan30
Overall wins, who had more 10 win seasons?
eta- ftr, the 90's was 5-4-1 for Tn. Bama was every bit as good as Tennessee in the 90's. Factor 2 more 10 plus win seasons, and it's arguable that Bama was better.

You are the best at manipulating statistics.
No where itt did anyone mention 10 win seasons in the 90s, yet you have now decided that that is somehow relevant to the thread. You are simply the best.

That's because Tennessee and Florida were easily the best two teams in the SEC from 1993-2001.
This is what you're attempting to refute, so let me ask again Stat King, what was Tennessee's record from 93-01? What was Bama's?

The claim was that nobody compared to Florida and Tennessee. Bama in the 90's, easily compared to Tennessee and that's what shows in the "stats" and records.

93-01 has nothing to do with the claim I was refuting about Bama and Tenn in the 90's. It's a ten year period. Not 7 and 2 yrs in another decade.

UT and UF were the 2 best teams in the SEC by far in the 90's. Sure Bama had a couple nice teams, but UT and UF were head and shoulders above everyone else.
That is what I was refuting.

From 93-01. Where did anyone itt bring up the 90s as a whole?
ETA: I see now.
What was Tennessee's record from 90-99, Bama's, and UF's?

The only games so far this season etched in stone on CBS are Georgia-Florida in Jacksonville on Oct. 27, Alabama-LSU in Baton Rouge on Nov. 3 and LSU-Arkansas in Fayetteville on Nov. 23. The Alabama-LSU game is a rematch of last season's BCS championship game, which the Tide won 21-0, and it's the lone CBS prime-time telecast this year.
At least LSU will have one SEC home game at night this year.

You should be celebrating. That means that numbskull Vern Lundquist wont be doing the game. ESPN would show it as a night game, which it ought to be. Screw CBS.

I posted the series record for Bama and UT. It was 5-4-1 favor Tenn. Bama had 6 seasons they won 10 or more games. Tenn had 4 seasons they won 10 or more games. Both had a National Championships. Bama had 2 SEC Championships, Tenn had 3 SEC Championships. Bama had 5 division Championships, Tenn had 3 division Championships. Overall, the 90's had Bama and Tenn very close, but based in overall successful seasons, I would give a slight edge to Bama. Heads up against each other, to Tenn. by a game.

I am talking overall wins and losses. Can you give me that info?
Posted on 2/19/12 at 9:47 pm to Alahunter
I have to say that Tennessee had a better program than Bama in the '90s. Only thing Bama has over them is more top 5 finishes and playing Spurrier and Florida much tougher than they did.

I would definitely show Arkansas/Alabama over Tennessee/Florida. It seems silly not to.
Double header day! Make it so CBS Fl/TN in the afternoon and AR/AL @ night, so I can booze up all day. It'll be an epic win that I'll likely be passed out by the end of.

Stassen.com will be the quickest way to look it up. Tenn will have an edge more than likely overall due to the Dubose craptacular seasons.
