Best conf. is arguable at this point.

And, it's no where near the best match up.

However, CBS will not cede any of the SEC's top rivalry games no matter how lop sided the match up that year.

LSU Ole Miss is always a good game with a few exceptions. Bama always destroys TN

CBS probably wishes it was the Masters week.

He hasn't confirmed but if you get on same page will bet you both

Not arguing that.

But, the Third Saturday in Oct, Deep South's Oldest Rivalry, Worlds Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party, and Iron Bowl are staples of the SEC, and CBS won't pass on them.

LSU-Ole Miss
Auburn-Arkansas
Mississippi State-Kentucky
Missouri-Idaho

Which of those is better?

This game will likely be the most entertaining, but as far as matchups go, Bama/Tennessee was clearly the sexiest one for TV.

I'd rather see one of these matchups.

Arkansas vs Ole Miss
Ole Miss vs LSU
Mississippi State vs Kentucky

you personally might, but CBS will draw a much bigger audience for the UT/Alabama game than any of those games you listed. That's all they care about, and rightfully so

well, it depends. JP Sports got the Alabama/UT game in 2007 (Florida/Kentucky was on CBS and LSU/Auburn was on ESPN). This week there just aren't any compelling match-ups that a national audience would watch

But wouldn't get as many views, and that's what CBS cares about.

There will be no views by the 2nd quarter. You don’t know how this works.

Kentucky State will be an interesting game too imo. Both way better options. I'm just glad I don't have to endure commercial central on CBS.

So is Vegas. Bama opened up as 24 point favorites. Oh how the mighty have fallen
