Don't count count out the Dallas market, the largest media market in the SEC...
Posted on 5/9/12 at 4:23 pm to TeLeFaWx
True, between all the Hog, LSU, & A&M fans in DFW, Dallas has to be at least half SEC fans now. I just wish the local sports radio stations would catch on to that.

For desperate housewives, maybe. I think Bham has been the #1 CFB market the past few years. Or maybe ATL, I think I read that somewhere.

As much as 40% of the Cincinnati market resides in the state of Kentucky

I would count them. There are four GatorClubs (UF Alumni Association chapters) in these two areas (six if you count the two chapters in the Florida Keys, one of which is in Key Largo which isn't that far away).

49 Austin Why not?
I would. In fact many out of state universities have four Texas chapters--DFW, Houston, San Antonio, and Austin. With Austin being the state capital definitely there will be a large A&M contingent working there.

At least one UK alumni chapter and if Shelby and Hardin counties are in the metro area you have three. So I would count them.

94 Waco-Temple-Bryan
Remember Bryan is one half of Bryan/College Station--Aggieland home base. So definitely add this one. Also there are four A&M clubs in the Waco-Temple area (which includes Killeen-Fort Hood and Gatesville).

Good point, Cincinnati is on the border and the airport is in northern Kentucky. If you add Tulsa due to its proximity to Arkansas then Cincinnati needs to be added too.

So 10% more cbs commercials, longer tv time outs, & sitting in the mid-day sun for 10% longer (cbs hates night games). Still it is good money for the SEC, sucks for the fans-as most almost anything having to do with sports these days, fans get the short end of the stick. Oh well, its still college football & that is all that matters to me.
Posted on 5/13/12 at 4:32 pm to TIGERFANZZ
I don't know what CBS shows during primetime that requires games to be on at 2:30, but I guarentee you it doesn't bring in even half of the money football does.
Posted on 5/13/12 at 4:37 pm to 1fairbank
The length of games really is out of control. Something need to be done to cap it or it will get even longer. Trying to force through rule changes to shorten the amount of actual game we get so they can fit in even more ads is also a problem. I'm not against capitalism but at some point enough is enough.
