I think someone somewhere has Wilson going in the first round.

I cant fathom Mingo going that high

Aldon Smith only had 4.5 sacks his last year in college and still went #7 in the 1st round. Mingo has arguably done better against better competition. He'll also do better at the combine. Dontari Poe didn't exactly dominate against weaker opponents. Chandler Jones was a 1st round pick and he only had 10.5 sacks in 3 years.

In 3 years Mingo has had 29 TFL, 14 sacks, and 27 Hurries. Better numbers than other successful 1st round picks. His potential is probably higher too

Matthews is staying as a projected top 15 pick? Damn that's stupid.

Tough pick between 1st round money and a guaranteed National Championship.

I feel bad for Te'o. ESPN has hyped the kid so much that anything short of him being the next Junior Seau will be a disappointment.

yeah, i hear ya. but none of those guys went #3 overall. I just cant dont think many teams would have him that high on their board without some other guys who are "must takes" ahead of him.

It's the Raiders. Mingo is a physical freak. Smith was only 4 spots higher and he had an average combine to go along with an average season. Mingo should put up similar combine numbers as Von Miller, who was coached by Dennis Allen, now the head coach of the Raiders. Not exactly a big reach for them

yeah, and thats the wild card in this one. nobody knows what those clowns will do. i said before, as college fans I think most of us wouldnt want our favorite players going to that organization. but nonetheless I think conventional wisdom suggests if a team really wants to go after a pass rusher in that spot they should get Jones(UGA) or Moore(aTm).

Not size wise. But his athleticism is elite. More like Von Miller than Clowney, who I compare to a smaller Julius Peppers

Has there ever been a draft in history with 1 or 0 qbs taken in the first?

Michael Vick was the only QB taken in the first round of the 2001 draft. However, Drew Brees was the first pick in the second round.

Chad Pennington was the only QB taken in the first round of the 2000 draft.

Jim Druckenmiller was the only QB taken in the first round of the 1997 draft.

ZERO QBs taken in the first round of the 1996 draft.
