I'm not rooting for ND because of the reasons you listed. I'm rooting for ND because I'm really tired of watching year after year Alabama drawing Ritters officiating crew. I see it as the SEC head office trying to get their princess team in the big game no matter what.

Speak for yourself. Despite their irrational hatred of Alabama, I almost always pull for LSU in all their other games because football is more fun when LSU is good. I've never had a true dislike of LSU like I've had of Auburn or Tennessee in the past.

I understand other SEC teams being against their biggest rivals....But I disagree. American by birth, but Southern by the grace of God.

Because being from Alabama, and otherwise having nothing great come out of your state; You're self-esteem is closely tied to how you're choice of college team is doing. If bama doesn't win, really what do they have? Thus, an attack on bama is an attack on their identity and self-worth.
