What's the deal with McCullers? Why has Tennessee been so bad against the run?
Our interrior run defense has been stellar. basically every big play against us has gone outside the tackles. Richt talked about it before the game.
Our Linebackers are inexperienced in the 3-4 and slow.

Richardson does look to be a quality DL...he gave our OL a hell of a time. Might talk a tad too much, but that's OK, lol.....

There's a nice fair non flame response. Although y'all still did rape is, surprisingly though your run game was really not the reason. Shaw looked like a gd heisman contender with our shitty defensive game plan.

What's up with that? How can this kid from the newest SEC member be schooling the rest of the SEC crowd?
I have learned two things about the SEC so far; the SEC doesn't travel as much as they want you to think and the Missouri Tigers have the best defensive lineman in the SEC.
Go Tigers!
better question: how many teeth does the Mizzy team have left to get kicked out?
OR....who has the biggest pussy taking snaps at QB?

Finally! It only took you stupid bastards 3 pages to hit that softball.
And you guys call yourselves ranters. :) I am not impressed with the lame repetitive slams. This board is in desperate need for new material.

It's kind of easy to lead in tackles when your offense is getting punched in the crotch.

It's easy to get blocked back five yards, shed your guy, and make the tackle 7 yards down field because your front 7 is getting gashed.

This thread was a dum-dum attempt at trolling to begin with.

Our horrible zone coverage has always been a problem, but it has only been a huge problem against USC. I thought it was going to be a problem against UCF, but we adjusted on defense and shut them down.

You guys did handle that UCF team.

I know it as a conference USA team, and nobody gives a shite, but that second half made me feel a lot better about our team. Offense played how we need to if we want to have a winning record. Ran the ball plenty, got first downs, and kept our defense fresh. It didn't result in points against UCF, but it will eventually lead to a higher scoring offense if we can keep it up.

It was a quality win. UCF has in-State talent. They may not all be 4/5-stars, but those kids in Florida play serious football. It was a good win.

When you only have one horse in the race it's the one you ride.
I keep waiting for a masterful slam but all I see is the same shite replayed.
Typical SEC rant thread...
OP - Makes post supporting favorite team and then...
Someone chimes in and says "you gonna get your nads toasted" or some version thereof.
The next guy chimes in with "Your team here" sucks followed by 3 or 4 more supporting votes.
Then in our case the "Old man football" line makes it's appearance.
After that the thread goes off on a tangent that has nothing to do with the OP and it's finished off by some bonehead saying "Your team STILL sucks".
I expected so much more!
This bunch is as erudite as your average presidential nominee.

Not sure I am masterful or such, but here are some stats that really matter:
Current NCAA team defense standings
33 tackles for a defensive lineman is impressive. It means he is a good player. But it also means he is having to cover for a generally weak team. If every player is doing his job, the tackles will be spread out, with the linebackers and strong safety getting the lion's share.

Our offense has been weak, but the defense has been mostly strong. The low point for our defense so far has been allowing Shaw to complete 95% of his passes, because sometimes we like to play prevent for an entire game and call it a zone. We also like to go to a zone on third down, and then allow easy completions for the first downs. We've also had a real shitty offense that likes to put the defense in bad spots. For example, the Georgia game where the Bulldogs last 17 points came on a FG after a 15 yard drive that started on our 37 yard line, a one yard TD after Jarvis forced a turnover, and a four yard TD drive after Jarvis forced a turnover.
We're sixth overall in the SEC in total defense (5th in yards per play)
5th in rushing defense (5th in rushing yards per carry)
4th in sacks
2nd in TFL
3rd in Turnovers gained and T/O margin
The defense overall has been solid. The d-line has been our strongest unit, and Sheldon has been our best DL.
