MLB's playoffs for like 70 years were the World Series
That's it, the regular season AL champ met the regular season NL champ in the world series.
From 1969 to until 1993 there just 4 teams.
Technically the BCS was a playoff too, it was just a 2 team playoff.

Yea, but they all had a chance to play rah other within their leagues. And an equal number of times. Not a happening thing in CFB

Exactly what I've always said.
Along with the fact that the Boston Red Sox were the World Champions of baseball last year...in spite of the fact that neither the Hiroshima Carp nor any other team in their league were invited to participate in said playoffs.
Never heard anyone dispute the title of World Champions...even though no other countries' professional teams (except Canada's) are invited to participate.

Do you care what they call a crater on the moon? You're not going there either.

Down the road, when they go to 8, it will be power 5 champs, highest ranked non-power 5, and 2 at large.
I'd be okay with this as long as all the Power 5 conferences have a championship game.
