Because Arkansas can't run the ball this year lol.

But mixing certain things into your base gameplan/offense doesn't mean you have abandoned what you normally do. It was just last year Bama was running Derrick Henry like every other play.

Against Auburn:
231 yards rushing
And we couldn't score a TD

Against Arkansas:
366 yards rushing
You only gave up 120 rushing

Any Offense today needs a good QB. The SEC has been devoid of them the last 5 years.

just off the top of my head. Using your 5 year metric.

Take back to 6 years and you can throw Cam Newton in there.

SEC doesn't have a QB problem.

SEC doesn't have any problems.

SEC is king of the hill at every position in football.

I been saying that. I rather have a defensive game myself. Im not talking about where an offense is sloppy. What game was it last week that it was 115 pts and 1200 yds amongst the 2 teams? Texas Tech and ? I cant watch that. I dont think it will ever get that bad in the SEC but even Bama defense gave up 43 pts.

I definitley wouldn't characterize what Alabama or Auburn do as soft spread. More like the veer. Even more old school than the I.

And you can thank Gus and Freeze mostly for this (Mizzou was doing it too when they entered the league, but they don't count).

Gus is at his best when Auburn is physically punching people in the mouth. Maybe it's from the shotgun, but it's as old school as it gets.

Yeah, Auburn fan. That's exactly what he was trying to do -- act like the SEC hasn't had a good QB since the last time Auburn was actually relevant. And, no, that Year of Extreme Luck doesn't count as relevance.

Kentucky is relying almost exclusively on the run. To the point of running the Wildcat half the damn game.

We're trying to take it way way back. You know, when QBs didn't even throw the ball.

Okay? You seem mistaken. What game are we playing? I was just pointing out to deeprig that he was giving a serious reply to a comment that was just a troll attempt.

Bama runs a HUNH when needed. Les Miles is fired. A Bert, who many old school football fans rooted for when he was hired, is flopping. The league is filled with crappy defenses and fewer antiquated offenses.

It's happened, old school football is dead in the SEC.

Someone should let Bert in on this secret so he doesn't get beat 56-3 any more
