There is literally no excuse. We have to at least win the SEC this year.

Young team.....no.
Inexperienced team......no.
Talent.......everywhere.

The problem at hand is that Alabama and particularly Nick Saban are also in the same division as LSU. I can't feel like we are going to win the SEC while he is there at this point. The guy finds a way to beat us. Every. Time.

The fact that the epic game of the year is in Tiger Stadium gives me a little bit of hope.

But back to the OP, we have no excuses this year. Its going to be very interesting watching LSU this year. Miles is coaching for his life. He is coaching under a microscope. Any small frick up coaching wise and the fanbase is going to lose it. He drops a couple of games to lower tier schools like he has been doing and he is gone.

Bottom line, if LSU can't win the SEC with this roster this year then they never will while Saban is still in the division IMO.

9-3, 10-2 maybe. most sane lsu fans will say the same.

Are you crazy?

9-3, with the talent and experience we have is an absolute failure.

I would have to agree ... I've got LSU as my odds-on favorite to win the title.

Do you disagree with my assessments above regarding LSU's roster and their expectation level?

It was hard to find one that I DID agree with, other than the QB being experienced and heading into his 2nd year as a starter. Certainly I'm not anywhere to close to expecting 12-0, but I do think 10-2 is realistic. Until proven otherwise, I will assume we lose to Alabama and whoever we play the following week. If Miles can just limit it to those two, it would at least be a step in the right direction.

If Miles loses 3 games with this team when can he be expected to lose 1-2 games?

Who said he IS expected ever to lose 1-2 games again? I think it's possible we lose only 2 this year, but hardly certain. And yes, if he loses 3 this year, then there seems no way reasonably to predict he'll ever have anything close to an SEC or CFP contender.
