Reminds me of one of those Buffalo Wild Wings commercials.

The SEC doesn't want to cede Atlanta to the ACC. As soon as the SEC moved its title game the ACC would move in.

I agree. Downtown ATL sucks. NOLA would be much better, but I hate the idea of allowing the ACC to have ATL. Its too important of a city.

To boot, the SEC is really building a triangle of championship games. ATL - football B'ham/Hoover - baseball and soon to be Nashville - Bball.

The geographic centers makes sense.

Yeah, let's forget about the previous 9 Super Bowls that the city hosted because someone tripped on a power cord.

But yeah, New Orleans has no idea how to host a big event. Take your ignorance back to Bumfrick, Texas... I mean... College Station.

1. Because the SEC offices are in Hoover.
2. It keeps Rantards in a state of dull-whine.

In all sreiousness, probably bec New Orleans is a shite hole that is good for a party and thats about it.

Its not family friendly and the infrastructure is not as good as Atlanta's(which says alot bec Atl infrastructure sucks)

Because the sec's premier bowl game is there already.
This is likely the reason.

And they like hosting it in a somewhat neutral central location.
I think they care less about this than they might give lip service to.

has nothing to do with Chicago's lack of maintainance of their sporting venues

Because the SEC is king when it comes to football in the south, and Atlanta is king when it comes to cities in the south. There is a reason the ACC has been relegated to Jacksonville and Charlotte.

Hell I think the Georgia Dome had a twister hit it, and nothing but a few outside panels blew off.

I could be wrong.

I know it was a fluke occurrence, but it's pretty embarrassing for the city and stadium when it's the biggest sports event in the world.

Also, it completely killed Baltimores momentum and people would make a much bigger deal if SF had come back after that 30 minute delay.

I'm just saying let's hold judgment on Superbowl venues until we see what happens at next year's Superbowl in New York/New Jersey.
