What if the LSU game comes down to special teams? We didn't fire our special teams' coach.

Think he was promoted to SP teams coach, when he wasn't before.

we are also going to be at home. Y'all needed 3 picks and last second fg to win i think we take this one.

I mean, two years ago in Death Valley you needed a fluke punt return for a touchdown to beat us. It goes both ways man.

I just don't understand all the hype behind State.

Is it because Dak is a "dual-threat" QB?? Guy is Relph 2.0 (inb4 3-0 vs TSUN). Decent legs but no accuracy whatsoever. Stop with the Heisman stuff, it's only making y'all look stupid.

To answer the OP... yes and no.

Based on losing 4/5 and the last meeting to us?

This team and staff have nothing to do with the first 3 of those. In fact, if not for an excellent play by one of your defensive thugs, we were on the way to winning that game last year. It should be 2-0 under Freeze.

I started this thread to gauge the confidence level of OM and MSU heading into the Fall considering both teams will be as good at the same time as I can remember. I think the fans of both teams understand it's a major challenge to get past the historic dominance of LSU, Bama and AU in the West.
With the addition of A&M things don't get any easier.

If there was ever a chance to see the Egg Bowl decide the West it may just be this year. I think it's a long-shot but it would be a wild affair if it actually happened.

Nah it was that bogus roughing the passer penalty that gave them the win

You are the first person to mention the whole Dak for Heisman talk. It's only Ole Miss fans mentioning it...

You should voice your complaints to Bovada and the rest of the books taking Heisman odds on him -- and then take it up with ESPN who is hyping the shite out of him.

"No accuracy whatsoever"? LOL

The thing that separates the two is the "it" factor we like to call it in sports. Dak appears to be a great leader and a winner. Relph didn't appear to have any special qualities I would look for in a champion. I do still have questions about his accuracy as a passer that will be answered this fall.

Knox is the guy for the first time this coming year. That was Mullen's role before.

Knox was on Tuberville's 04 staff helping with the special teams -- one of the better units in that regard I can remember...

That's not to say he can "fix" ours -- but it's definitely an upgrade from Mullen basically doing it in his spare time...

Correct -- OM fans are the only ones obsessing over it. Was not mentioned by a State fan in this thread and rarely is overall...

I'm sure he would rather do cooler things than coach special teams in his spare time. Hookers, casinos, blow, etc.

Dak - 58.4%

Bo - 64.8%

Wrong again.
