As in play the run as well as the pass. Not just clogging holes on running downs and rushing the passer on passing downs.

No, Bama has too many guys that will dominate their individual matchups. Daron Payne, Jon Allen, Tim Williams, and Ryan Anderson are all significantly better than their offensive opponents.

On paper I see bama winning by 17-21 points, but Vegas has it at a lot lower, so I know there's going to be a surprise and maybe even an upset, just don't know how.

I hear you. Reuben, Anderson, and SDH clean up well when the DL doesn't make the play, though. Humph plays the run really well. And does Harrison and AA. There's a reason Alabama leads the country in sacks AND run defense.

LSU has to stay in front of the chains. First and second down will be crucial. They have to have a lot of 3rd and 5 or shorter to have a chance. I just don't think they can maintain success throwing the ball in obvious passing downs.

That said, the same can be said for Bama's offense. The difference is having to respect Hurt's ability to take off for a big gain.
