LSU can beat Bama, as well as any team Bama plays. Our guys have to keep their heads on straight. But, THANK GOODNESS, we have the best coach in the game at the helm. Bama will at least know of the issues and will know how to deal. It is up to the players to deal.

This matchup will have a different feel, or aura, to it.

All the pressure is on Bama, they're playing at home in one of their few tough matchups this entire season, haven't been tested in Gump Stadium.

Tough to quantify how much of a factor that is, of course Saban will come with his usual tired crap, but what will Les Miles bring to the table? Les win's and their head to head is tied at 4 apiece, many don't realize that simple fact.

They move on with Les actually having the better recruiting class for a change as well probably. It has the potential to be a symbolic changing of the guard in the mighty SEC as a matter of fact.

Lot's of reasons to see a upset here, but in reality from LSU's perspective, it wouldn't be an upset at all...beating Bama at Bama is just old Hat.

Don't get too big for your britches just because you outscored us. Our defense is absolute garbage. LSU's defense is at least decent.

How do the corndogs handle a loss to Bama and then losing Hootie as well. The meltdown will be well under way in LA.

We own the deed to that state... not that it's worth that much. But... oh the players that keep relocating to T Town. And the epic meltdown is if LF pulls the plug. The corndogs will be beyond meltdown.

Come on down Hootie.

Come on down LF.

In all seriousness...

The Bama LSU game is the biggest game in the SEC every year. Why? Because they are the two programs that line up and smack each other in the mouth play after play after play. It is the most physical football game every year and this year will be no different. The two big boys squaring off on the playground. If you love CFB... this is the game you want to see.

Yep. It is not for the faint of heart. I expect another slugfest but I do like Bama to win. The early line of double digits is stupid however. These games always comes down to one or two big fourth quarter plays.

Well considering the last six regular season games have been decided by a grand total of 6 points (133-127) and none of them were decided by more than 10, I would say that it will be a pretty close game.

Why do some LSU fans conveniently leave out 21-0 when spewing stats?

Clearly LSU should have wanted some of the other guys then. BTW Rick, how is Mett doing? Remember, you said Mett > AJ.

Yes, LSU always plays bama extremely tough. Except for 2011 part 2.

Is he wrong? I'm really asking, let me go through.

QB - AJ > Mett (but but but Mett has moar yards and two more TDs!!!!!!)

RB - Push. Hill has better numbers than Yeldon, but considering how TJ's OL was playing the first three and a half games, yeah. Drake is coming on strong, LSU has some solid guys behind Hill.

WR - LSU, Landry/Beckham can be players in the league. Coop is on their level, maybe better when he's 100%, but he's not 100% so it doesn't matter. White is talented, but not near Landry or Beckham. I'll say after that Bama takes a bit of an advantage with C. Jones and Norwood, but LSU's other WRs haven't played much.

TE - Bama.

LT - Slight edge to CyKo over La'El, Cyrus had a shaky start, but he's back to form now and playing as good as anyone.

LG - LSU

C - Push

RG - Bama, Steen is again one of the most consistently good OL in the nation

RT - LSU

The defenses are tough to compare because of different schemes.

DL - LSU is getting more sacks from their DL, but Bama's run D is better. I'll give advantage LSU.

LB - Bama. Mosley is the best LB in CFB, Hubbard is good at everything except getting sacks apparently. Devall has quietly gotten three sacks and shown big improvements in the run game. Dickson is beating Tackles often to get some pressure. DePriest has been disappointing. LSU has some guys playing very well, but it feels like they miss a few more tackles.

CB - Tough one. I don't wanna call Belue great or anything, but he's been very good this year. Probably the best of either team right now, but Bama has a huge hole at the other CB spot. I'll say push, but I could be swayed in LSU's favor easier than in Bama's favor.

S - Bama. Not close.

K - LSU

P - Bama. Mandell is one of the best in the country.

So Bama wins 7 positions.

LSU wins 5.

Push at 3.

Tough game. Bama wins 31-21 with a late fourth quarter score to seal it. Mett throws pick on following possession and Bama runs clock.

You guys lost LB Deval who was highly coveted in a year that you really needed LB's. Let's not forget about that.

Yes, because judging your team against the likes of Colorado st, Kentucky, and Arkansas is a fair assessment.
