1) Yes and has since the Bear's time. Noone is good enough to go a full season with less than 1/2 dozen holding penalties called.

2) No, and they shouldn't be.

Yes. Even pro teams can't go a whole season without a holding call.

No.

1) Does UA get favorable treatment in relation to scheduling and/or ref stuff like holding? The good teams, players, etc seem to, sort of the Michael Jordan effect- good players get good calls. However, the refs make mistakes all the time. It probably stands out because Bama has won so much lately. Even if true, Bama still gets credit for finishing with wins. A good break penalty wise here and there won't win a game for you, and a bad break penaly here and there won't make you lose- UNLESS YOU LET IT!

I WOULD BE SURPRISED IF BAMA WAS PUNISHED SEVERELY. RIGHT NOW, BAMA IS THE GOLDEN GOOSE LAYING GOLDEN EGGS- WHY WOULD NCAA KILL IT?

Yes to ref calls, depending on the specific group. No, there isn't any favorable scheduling.

Didn't Bama go like 10 games without a holding call? I don't care if you have 5 Orlando paces on your line, that's impossible.

1) with the bridge scheduling bama absolutely got favorable treatment. in the 2 years it took for the clowns in birmingham to adopt a schedule, alabama did not play one of the top 3 teams in the east either year. if and when the SEC ever goes on a rotation basis again, no favortism will be had by anyone which of course if the way it should be.

2) bama will only be punished if the details in the yahoo article are actually investigated an they are found true.
